• Ontario Senior Games Association: Halton District #21 (OSGA)
  Provides fellowship and social activities and sports for seniors 55-years of age and older. Games include: cards, shuffle board, billiards, bowling, skiing, and much, much more. The provincial OSGA Web site lists some of the events taking place in various areas of Ontario that might be of interest to you.
• The Golden Age of Variety
  Live show featuring over 80 senior performers between the ages of 55 and 83, and who are involved in various levels of the production from set and costume design, to ticket sales, and the final performance.
• Burlington Footnotes Senior Performing Troupe
  A seniors' dancing troupe dedicated to having fun, on and off stage, while being committed to providing a comfortable, professional and inspirational atmosphere for older adults to reach their creative potential.

  When you are unable to visit the library, a staff member will visit you. Enjoy a free, personalized service providing a selection of fiction and non-fiction books in easy-to-read large print.
• CNIB's Digital Library
  Lends recreational books and magazines in Braille and audio cassette format in French and English, and provides talking book cassette players, and transcribes from print to audio cassette or Braille format, vocational, educational and professional materials on request.
• Halton Hills Public Library Services
  Large print and talking books are available and some videos are closed captioned. Multilingual recreational reading can be obtained through the National Library's Multilingual Biblioservice. The Georgetown branch is wheelchair accessible.
• Oakville Public Library On-line Catalogue

• What is being done to help victims of abuse
  Seniors, or people calling on their behalf, can get help by calling the Victim Support Line and speaking to information counsellors who have been trained to provide information and referral services on elder abuse. Safety is paramount, and as always, in a crisis or an emergency, seniors or their caregivers should remember to call 911 for immediate assistance. (Call:1-888-579-2888 - Toll free)

  A telemarketing and internet based fraud prevention program. This national service was established in 1993. More than 60% of telemarketing fraud is directed toward seniors. The site includes information about spotting, reporting and preventing scam and spam fraud.
